Sewing Machine Salesperson

Locations: Maitland & Lady Lake
Type: Part-Time (Weekdays and Weekends)

  • Do you love sewing, embroidering, and serging; and enjoy sharing that passion with others?
    We’re looking for motivated, customer-focused team members to join our sewing machine department.

    Responsibilities:
    • Help customers choose the right sewing, embroidery, or serger machine for their needs.
    • Demonstrate machine features and techniques.
    • Teach one-on-one lessons for new machine owners.
    • Assist with troubleshooting, basic maintenance, and accessories.
    • Process sales quickly and accurately using our POS system.
    • Provide outstanding in-store service and product knowledge.

    Requirements:
    • Sewing and embroidery experience (Baby Lock, Brother, Janome, or Juki preferred).
    • Prior retail or sales experience is a plus.
    • Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn our POS system.
    • Able to lift and carry sewing machines.
    • Weekend and holiday availability required.


  • Team Member / Sewing Instructor

    Locations: Maitland & Lady Lake
    Type: Part-Time (Weekdays and Weekends)

    When customers visit The Sewing Studio, they’re greeted by team members who share their love of sewing. As a team member or instructor, you’ll help customers find the right fabrics, learn new techniques, and leave inspired to create more.

    Responsibilities:
    • Greet and assist customers with fabric selection and sewing questions.
    • Cut and measure fabric accurately.
    • Process purchases using our POS system.
    • Share sewing tips, techniques, and creative inspiration.
    • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.

    Requirements:
    • Basic sewing and fabric knowledge.
    • Friendly, patient, and customer-focused.
    • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn POS software.
    • Able to lift bolts of fabric and sewing machines.
    • Weekend and holiday availability required.


Quilting Machine (Long-Arm) Installer / Technician

Location: Maitland
Type: On-Call (1–3 installs per month)

Do you enjoy hands-on technical work and helping others set up their creative tools?
We’re looking for an experienced or mechanically minded installer to assemble and service long-arm quilting machines in customer homes and studios.

Responsibilities:
• Pick up necessary tools and products from The Sewing Studio.
• Drive to customer locations for long-arm assembly and setup.
• Provide a basic machine overview to new owners.
• Assist with light maintenance or troubleshooting.

Requirements:
• Long-arm or general sewing machine knowledge preferred.
• Reliable transportation and flexible schedule.
• Must be able to lift long-arm machine components.
