Sewing Studio Fabric Superstore is a family owned business located in Maitland, Florida just fifteen minutes away from Orlando.  We are located at 9605 S US HWY 17-92 (just North of the Maitland Blvd. Overpass).  We have been selling and educating customers on sewing machines, fabrics and sewing notions for over 30 years in the same location!

The Sewing Studio is known for our extensive sewing machine department in which we carry three brands (BabyLock, Brother and Juki).  We have a wide selection of sewing machines, embroidery machines, quilting machines, sergers and craft machines.  We aim to carry a machine for every project and every budget!  Our well trained sewing machine department staff will be able to answer any and all questions you have related to sewing, embroidery or serging.  Remember, when you purchase a machine from The Sewing Studio, we include lifetime, in person lessons on that machine and its features!  We are here to help you get the most out of your sewing investment.  Our machine department also has a large selection of sewing machine accessories and add-ons.  Machines need thread, bobbins, stabilizer and of course optional accessories to customize your projects.  When you purchase a machine from us you become a machine loyalty member and will receive a 15% lifetime discount on threads, needles, stabilizer, bobbins and interfacing.  As with anything that has a motor, sewing machines need servicing from time to time.  The Sewing Studio is an authorized service center for BabyLock, Brother and Juki.  Read about our sewing machine service/repair dept <here>.

The Sewing Studio carries the largest variety of fabric in Florida and at competitive prices.  We have a wide selection consisting of over 5,000+ bolts of quilting cottons.  These cottons can be used for a wide variety of household and commercial products besides quilting.  We carry a selection of almost every major quilting brand company such as: Robert Kaufman, Cotton + Steel, Westminster Fabrics, Free Spirit, Timeless Treasures, Michael Miller, Riley Blake, Amy Butler, Hoffman, Benartex, Blank Textiles and others.  Our quilting cotton selection has an extremely high turnover so you’ll be sure to see new quilting cottons on each and every visit!

Our lycra / spandex / stretchy fabric department is kept together in its own room!  We have a wide variety of colors and prints in 4-way stretchy fabrics.  These fabrics can be used for a wide variety of applications such as swimwear, sportswear, dancewear and costumes. Our lycra / spandex room also contains other specialty fabrics such as: body flex performance fabric, solid stretch velvets, foil lycra, stretch mesh, and swim suit linings.

For those looking for bridal fabrics and evening wear fabrics, we have that too!  We have an extensive assortment of bridal fabrics for wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses and any bridal outfit.  Within our bridal and fashion department you’ll find varieties of silks, satins, chiffons, debutantes, linings, taffetas, jersey knits, trims and many many more. We work with many fashion designers, seamstresses and brides in the area so come by today if you have any questions or are looking for fashion fabrics!

Classes and education are at the heart of The Sewing Studio.  We release a quarterly class and event schedule that contains all of the upcoming classes for the next three months.  Our classes cover a wide variety of the sewing spectrum which include: basic sewing classes, advanced sewing classes, quilting classes, bag making classes, apparel sewing classes, embroidery classes, software classes, Scan-N-Cut classes and many more!  Check out our sewing class and event calendar online or give us a call!  Our sewing classes fill up quickly.
